Lately I've been having a little bit of fun making some fan-art/mash up style pictures (okay, so I have no idea what the official name for these type of images are). I have started by using pictures from my favourite movies, and encorporating some quotes that I just love, so anyway I thought I would share them on this blog whenever I make one.
Here is the first one: "You pierce my soul..."
You will notice that I like to give my creations titles or names, I know that might sound strange but I just like it :) Well anyway, this one is called "You pierce my soul..." and the images are taken from the 2007 adaptation of Persuasion, and the quote scribbed across the image is a few lines from Captain Wentworth's spine tingling letter to Anne in the novel.
Love as aways,

I love this! I would definitely call this fan-art. It's so lovely. As much as the actor Rupert Penry-Jones isn't my favorite Captain Wentworth, he is gorgeous and looks very well in this creation of yours. I love the font you wrote the quote in, very period like a true letter.
Lovely!
~Miss Laurie :)
I love your fan art of Wentworth! I love fan arts, especially the Jane Austen ones. Are you going to make some more? You did a wonderful job making this one.
Miss Laurie,
Thank you so much, I have only seen the 2007 version and I loved Rupert as Wentworth! Which Persuasion adaptation do you recommend?
Jemimah,
Oh Thank you! I already have made some more, from other movies but as yet not any other Austen ones. I have some free time later today and I will most likely make another one, I would love to have your suggestions!
Mel, I highly recommend Persuasion (1995) starring Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. It is so much truer to the book and is my absolute favorite Jane Austen adaptation. It really is a Janeite's dream because it is so true to the Regency world, the actors are so well cast, the story isn't romanticized like Persuasion 2007 it's just told simply and beautifully. I adore Amanda Root as Anne Elliot because she is so sweet and elegant and literally blossoms from pale to healthy and truly beautiful through the course of the film. The only thing they don't explain well is why Mr. William Elliot is not worthy of Anne (Mrs. Smith's testimony of him is rather short and botched up), but Per '07 does a worse job in my opinion. Persuasion 1995 is definitely a must see!

Ohh I really must see that adaptation! It sounds heavenly! I liked Persuasion 2007, I thought the scenery was gorgeous and although I am sure Sally Hawkins is a wonderful actress I just don't think she did the character of Anne justice! Thank you for recommending the 1995 version, I can't wait to see it now!
i really like this :D...did you do the same with the photo at the top of your blog? this is mary by the way :P im lurking your blog :P
Mary! Thanks for taking the time to have a look at it :) Yeah I did make the picture at the top. Thanks for commenting!
