This is the first post in my series “My love;”
Mr Thornton is the lead male character in Elizabeth Gaskell’s novel ‘North and South’. I fell in love with Mr Thornton when I watched the BBC adaptation of the novel, where he is portrayed by the oh-so-handsome Richard Armitage *heart fluttering*. Mr Thornton (Richard Armitage), along with Mr Tilney (portrayed by JJ Feild), Willie Lahaye (portrayed by Logan Bartholomew) and Tristan of Aragon (James Franco), is one of those characters who I, unfortunately find myself comparing any man I meet with, of which none actually ever measure up. Oh the sufferings of us girls who live within the pages of our books.
Well, to compensate for being 21 and still waiting for my perfect man, and for anyone else who is waiting for God to send them their prince charming... here is a little Mr Thornton to tide us all over until then :)
